Apple Trees

 The Red Delicious apple is the most widely planted apple tree in North America although it has competition in recent years from other popular apples found on this site. The size of the tree depends on the variety chosen, with standard, semi-dwarf and dwarf varieties. It grows at a fast speed of more than 24'' per year to a height  of 20 feet.

 These apple trees are self-pollinating and quite hardy, thriving in USDA zones 4 through 9. The medium to large yellow apples have a mild, sweet flavor that is delicious in pies as well as adding sweetness to pork dishes and salads. 

 The WineCrisp apple tree reaches a mature height of 12 to 15 feet, making it a manageable size for most gardens. Its spread typically ranges from 10 to 12 feet, providing ample space for its branches to flourish 

 Royal Gala® Apple is a medium-sized apple variety that was bred specifically for its darker red skin color. Blooming in early- to mid-May, pretty white flowers give rise to orange-red fruits with some striping, mild, delicate flavor, and soft white flesh with a thin skin.  Royal Gala® trees will grow up to 15 feet tall and wide, with an upright, rounded form. 

 
The Thundercloud plum tree (Prunus cerasifera 'Thundercloud'*) is a popular ornamental, deciduous tree known for its striking deep purple foliage and delicate pink spring blossoms. Reaching a mature height and spread of 15-25 feet, it produces small, edible, dark red plums that can be used for jams and jellies.  

Red Haven peaches are some of the earliest ripening peaches and can be eaten fresh or used in cooking or baked goods.
